HD Video with 3D Binaural Audio!

I'll post a short film in a few weeks, mainly to demonstrate the 3D binaural audio. I was asked to create a binaural demo for a home audio speaker technology company for their trade show in Las Vegas. They've invented a speaker that can beam two channels of audio to each person in the room, and it tracks their head positions using a 3D camera. This means that you can have binaural audio from a single speaker in your living room without headphones. Now I just have to figure out what to create...

Hmm, instead of a rig like that, you could just wear a head-mounted VIO POV camera and binaural mikes in your ears?

(have to use a separate audio recorder, because VIO POV.HD's audio reording is mono only)

That VIO POV is sweet! You could certainly do something like that as well. I chose to do this for a few reasons. 1) I wanted to be in the scene myself. 2) I didn't want to use my own ears, as they're less "symmetrical" than my silicon ears. It all depends on what the project involves, and who the end product is for. Using your own ears will sound excellent to you, but maybe not for others.
